Geography at Swadelands is a dynamic and ever-changing subject taught by energetic and enthusiastic teachers. We have dedicated humanities classrooms equipped with digital projectors, TV and DVD players.
What is Geography?
Geography can be defined as the study of the earth and its features; the processes and interactions within the environment around us; the distribution of life on the earth, including human life and the effects of human activity is about out environment and the world around us.

Fieldwork in Geography
Fieldwork is a very important aspect of Geography. Some fieldwork already undertaken includes:
- Norfolk for a residential GCSE field trip

Geography at GCSE
At GCSE level Swadelands geographers follow the AQA A Syllabus which involves studying three physical and three human topics. Coursework is also undertaken and this year 11 undertook a residential fieldtrip to the North Norfolk Coast to investigate coastal management along that stretch of coastline. A fantastic time was had by all attending the fieldtrip and it is hoped that at GCSE level a residential fieldtrip will be made available for all geographers.
